They work differently, mainly around who pays and when. Here is exactly how each one runs, so nobody is surprised at the counter.
Book the appointment directly
No account, no forms, no waiting on anyone internally. Best when one person is flying and the trip has just been confirmed.
We invoice the organisation
Tell us who is going and where. We do the rest. Best when the same admin keeps landing on the same person.
No minimum commitment and no account fee either way. One traveller is a perfectly normal reason to open an account.

Who is supposed to pay for travel vaccinations for work?
Most of the expensive ones are not free on the NHS anyway. Hepatitis B, rabies, yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis are all chargeable. So if staff are booking their own and claiming it back, the organisation is already paying, just without a record of it.
The duty
Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, employers must protect employees' health so far as is reasonably practicable, and that does not stop at the airport.
The cost
The Health and Safety Executive states that the Act requires employers to provide protective measures such as immunisation to workers free of charge. The BMA is blunter: responsibility rests with the employer, and a practice can accept a fee from the employer but not from the patient.
The record
If you employ five or more people you must record the significant findings of your risk assessment. A destination-by-destination pre-travel assessment, written down, is that record for the travel part.

None of this is complicated to put right. Send a group and we invoice you directly, so nobody is out of pocket. Send one person and they leave with an itemised VAT invoice that clears expenses first time. Either way you end up with a record you can actually produce.
What you see, and what stays private
You get
Who was booked, on what date, for what destination, and what it cost. One statement, per cost centre if you want it that way.
You do not get
Anything clinical. What was discussed in the consultation, what was declined, and any health information stays between the employee and the pharmacist. We do not share who attended, who declined, or any individual clinical detail without an appropriate basis such as the employee's consent.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. If you need our privacy notice before you circulate this internally, ask and we will send it.
How it works

An email with a name, a destination and a travel date is enough. No form to fill in, no account to open, no minimum commitment.
We work out what is actually needed
A pharmacist independent prescriber goes through the itinerary properly: every country, the rural or urban split, the length of stay, what they have had before, and what the entry requirements are. Not a checklist.
They come in
Four minutes' walk from Barbican, eight from Moorgate and Old Street. Before work, at lunch, between meetings. Same-day when the trip moves.
The paperwork lands where it should
Sending a group, we invoice the organisation directly as one bill with your reference on it. Sending one person, they pay on the day and leave with an itemised VAT invoice and receipt built for a clean reimbursement. Either way, one record of who had what.
How much do travel vaccinations cost for a business trip?

Were you using CityDoc or London Travel Clinic?
London Travel Clinic ceased trading in February 2026. CityDoc has permanently closed its private clinic locations and its corporate service is now focused on workplace flu vaccination rather than travel. If your staff were going to either, we can pick it up.

Where is the nearest travel clinic to the City of London?
We are at 36 Goswell Road, London EC1M 7AA, on the Golden Lane Estate, a few minutes' walk from the Square Mile.
Monday to Friday 9am to 6.30pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm. Staff can come before work, at lunch or between meetings, rather than taking half a day near home.
