Assessment and treatment of the first lesion is £90, with the assessment included. Each additional lesion treated in the same visit is £50, so two is £140 and three is £190. Warts and verrucas are priced separately from £150 because they need two freeze thaw cycles and usually more than one session. Follow-up sessions are from £50 per lesion. Your pharmacist confirms the exact cost at your assessment before anything is treated.

Plan for about 15 minutes for one to three lesions, and around 30 minutes for more. The freeze itself is a matter of seconds per lesion. Most of the appointment is the assessment and going through the aftercare.

It depends what is being treated. Skin tags, milia and cherry angiomas are often done in a single session. Warts commonly take one to three. Verrucas usually take more, because of where they sit and the pressure they are under. Your pharmacist will give you a realistic number at your assessment rather than a guess now.

There is a sharp cold sting during the freeze, and it can be more uncomfortable when a deeper freeze is needed. Most people find it settles within minutes. No anaesthetic and no stitches are involved.

Generally no. NHS.uk states that skin tag removal is classed as cosmetic surgery and is not available on the NHS, and that you will usually need to pay to have them removed. Funding for other benign lesions is restricted to specific clinical criteria and varies by area.

No. We do not treat moles or any undiagnosed pigmented lesion. Cryotherapy destroys the tissue, so nothing can be sent for analysis afterwards, and that makes it the wrong treatment for anything that needs investigating. If something looks suspicious we will tell you and refer you rather than treat it.

No referral is needed. Book directly and we will assess the lesion at your appointment. There is no registration and no NHS waiting list involved.

Yes, there is no recovery time built into the treatment itself. Keep the area dry for the first 24 hours. A blister or scab will form over the following days and takes a few weeks to fall away.

The skin at and around the treated site may lighten or darken, especially in darker skin. This usually improves with time but can be permanent. Scarring is rare. Your pharmacist will talk you through this before treating anything, particularly on the face.

It is not suitable for undiagnosed lesions, for areas with poor circulation, over superficial tendons, or on hair-bearing skin where permanent hair loss would matter. It is also assessed more cautiously on darker skin types. All of this is checked at your assessment.

A registered pharmacist. Every cryotherapy assessment and treatment at the clinic is carried out by a pharmacist, so the person looking at your skin is the person treating it.
