Travel vaccinations near Euston — academic and conference travel
Euston sits at the heart of London's academic and biomedical research cluster — UCL, UCH, the Wellcome Trust, the Crick Institute, the Royal College of Surgeons. We see a steady flow of academics, postdocs, PhD students and researchers travelling for fieldwork, conferences, sabbaticals and visiting positions. Plus the broader Euston catchment includes professional firms and the major rail terminus serving the West Midlands and North.
City Of London Clinic operates from Barbican Pharmacy & Clinic on Goswell Road — three Northern Line stops south of Euston to Old Street, then an 8-minute walk. We're a designated Yellow Fever Centre and every appointment is led by Asad Repon, a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber.
Vaccines most often needed by Euston academic travellers
Fieldwork itineraries often involve more comprehensive vaccination than business tourism:
- Hepatitis A, B and Typhoid — for most fieldwork destinations outside the developed world.
- Yellow Fever — essential for sub-Saharan African and Amazonian fieldwork. ICVP issued the same day.
- Rabies — three-dose pre-exposure course recommended for rural fieldwork, work with animals, and extended stays.
- Japanese Encephalitis — for rural Asia fieldwork during transmission season.
- Cholera — for outbreak areas or relief work.
- Meningitis ACWY — for the African meningitis belt.
We also prescribe malaria tablets and stand-by antibiotics where clinically appropriate.
Academic and research accounts
We work with academic institutions and research bodies on corporate accounts — monthly invoicing, VAT receipts, dedicated billing contact, no chasing reimbursement claims. We've worked with departments preparing groups of fieldworkers heading to East Africa, South Asia and Latin America. If you're an academic lead, research coordinator or grants administrator setting up vaccinations for a fieldwork cohort, get in touch via the booking page — we'll open an account, typically same-week.
Pre-Eurostar travellers
St Pancras (Eurostar) is next door to Euston. If you're catching Eurostar onward and need a vaccine first — perhaps a yellow fever certificate before a connecting flight from Paris CDG to Dakar — we can usually accommodate same-day with 2 hours' notice.
